The short version
Four in a Row is a game by Quantivo Works. This policy covers the app, its multiplayer service, and these support pages.
Information we use
On your device
The app stores your sound and haptic preferences locally. The current board and match scores are held for your game session. The app does not ask you to provide a name, email address, or profile to play.
Nearby play
If you choose Play Nearby, the app uses Apple’s local networking features to find and connect to another phone. Nearby players may see the device display name used for your room. Moves and game state are exchanged between the phones. This mode does not use our online room service.
Online play
The multiplayer service processes room codes, temporary player credentials, request-recovery keys, moves, board state, scores, and connection timestamps. It also processes your connection’s IP address to limit excessive room creation and protect availability.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any details or attachments you choose to send. These pages do not have a contact form, analytics scripts, or tracking cookies.
How information is used
- To connect players, run matches, validate moves, and keep the board in sync.
- To restore temporary connection failures and avoid duplicate room reservations.
- To limit abuse and keep the multiplayer service available.
- To answer questions and investigate problems you report.
We do not sell game information or use it for targeted advertising.
Storage and retention
- Game sessions: the online game service stores matches and temporary credentials in memory, rather than a persistent match database. They are lost when the service restarts.
- Closed rooms: closing a room releases its active seat capacity immediately. Its final state and recovery credentials are removed after approximately one minute, when cleanup runs.
- Inactive players: a room is closed when a player has been inactive for more than approximately 90 seconds and the next cleanup check runs.
- Rate limiting: IP-based rate-limit entries are removed after approximately ten minutes without a successful room-creation request.
- Support: correspondence is retained as needed to address your request and any follow-up. Contact us if you want us to review or delete a support conversation.
Hosting or email providers may keep operational logs or correspondence separately from the game’s temporary memory. Contact us for questions about those records.
Your choices
You can use Pass & Play without online multiplayer. You can leave a match at any time, change sound and haptic preferences in Settings, or disable Local Network access in your device settings. Disabling that permission may prevent nearby play.
There is no player account to delete. Deleting the app removes its local preferences from that installation; operating-system backups are managed separately by Apple.
For privacy questions, or to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have provided to us, email info@quantivoworks.com. Include enough context to identify your request, and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Children’s information
The game does not require a profile, date of birth, or contact details to play. If you believe a child has sent us personal information in a support message, contact us so we can review it and arrange removal where appropriate.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy when the game or its services change. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
